Jump Start Your Pomnie!

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

To set up your new Pomnie, you will need to download the Pomnie App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Open the Pomnie app and select click Signup. Enter your email and create a new password. You will receive an email from Pomnie with a verification code to enter in the app.
Login to your new Pomnie!
After login, click the Subscription button. Choose the number of phones that works best for your family! Secondary users will get the same text messages as you & can chat with your Pomnie on their phone.
If you are a Pomnie Beta user, you will not be charged.
Click Phone Numbers. Enter your phone number(s). You will recieve a verification text from Pomnie to confirm your phone. If you need to change the phone at any time, you can remove and add a new number on this screen.
In the app, your setup is only complete once your Pomnie receives its first email or document.
In your account settings, click the green button next to your listener email. Choose an email from your school and forward it to the listener email and Pomnie will remember the information.
Think of Pomnie like a puppy — it needs time to learn from your emails and documents. To help it learn faster, visit the Training Center.

To share a document with Pomnie, find it in your files or photos. Click the share icon and choose the Pomnie app. Click share with Pomnie and it will remember all the details!

Jump Start Your Pomnie!

To set up your new Pomnie, you need a computer to check email, your phone with the Pomnie app, and a list of email domains for Pomnie to watch— from your school, activity providers & sports teams. Setup takes 10-15 minutes. After that, Pomnie will start learning.
Open the Pomnie app and select click Signup. Enter your email and create a new password. You will receive an email from Pomnie with a verification code to enter in the app.

You teach Pomnie to listen for emails that are important to your family.
This process needs to be completed on both computer or tablet & phone.
Click Email Forwarding Setup in your Pomnie app. You will see your unique Pomnie Listener email at the top. We will use that in a moment.
On your computer, go to your email & choose the Settings tab. Select Forward and POP/MAP.
Click add forwarding address and enter your Pomnie listener email.
Your unique listener email will have a hashed format that looks like “HIljdnsl39458@listener.pomnie.com”.
Your email provider may require you to authenticate your email at this stage. Complete the verification.
Pomnie will now do a security validation and let you know in the app when you can proceed. This may take up to a few minutes.
In your email application, navigate to the Settings, and choose Filters & Blocked Addresses.
Click create a new filter. In the “from:” section add a entry for each email domain you collected in the “Getting Ready” step of your setup process. Reminder: your school, activity and sports domains go here. Entries should use the following format: *@myschooldomain.org and domains should be separated by OR operators.
Click create filter.
You will see a popup with several options. Click the Forward to button and select your Pomnie listener email. Click update. You can now close your email!
In the app, your setup is only complete once your Pomnie recieves its first email. To finish the setup, manually forward an email to your Pomnie listener account.
Your app will now show that setup is complete and you will get your first text from Pomnie!
